About Ral Partha Miniatures

Back in the 70's and 80's, Ral Partha was THE miniature company. Founded in 1975, Ral Partha quickly became the world's largest producer of fantasy miniatures for gamers, and their finely detailed models were sought after by D&D players and Dungeon Masters. Even by modern standards, Ral Partha miniatures are exceptional. These minis have truly stood the test of time.

Throughout the years, the company has undergone many changes. The original Ral Partha closed in 2001, but thankfully their minis live on through Iron Wind Metals, the company's direct successor. Iron Wind Metals faithfully produces the Ral Partha product line from the original molds, crafting miniatures to the same exacting standards in lead-free pewter.

Question About Scale

Ral Partha miniatures are produced in "old school" 25mm scale. The figures are sized exactly as they were back in the day, and are slightly smaller than modern miniatures produced in 25mm "heroic" scale, 28mm, and so forth. Although sculpting standards have changed over the years, Ral Partha miniatures will still fit right in for Dungeons and Dragons and other tabletop roleplaying games.

Back in the mid 90s I walked into a game store for the very first time. I bought 4 miniatures, this wizard was one of them. It was great that, 25-ish years later, as I was looking to get back into painting miniatures, I can start with the same model I started with back then. The miniature is crisp, with just a little bit of flash to remove.
